Wafer-scale Monolayer MoS2 Film Integration for Stable, Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells

Perovskite solar cells, while promising, suffer from instability. This study addresses this by incorporating MoS2 layers on both sides of the perovskite. These layers enhance stability by blocking ion migration and chemically stabilizing the perovskite material. This approach leads to significantly improved efficiency and long-term stability in the resulting solar cells.
A Soft Thermal Ssensor for the Continuous Assessment of Flow in Vascular Access
Authors: Yujun Deng, Hany M. Arafa, Tianyu Yang, Hassan Albadawi, Richard J. Fowl, Zefu Zhang, Viswajit Kandula, Ashvita Ramesh, Chase Correia, Yonggang Huang, Rahmi Oklu, John A. Rogers and Andrea S. Carlini

This research developed a novel wearable sensor for real-time monitoring of blood flow in vascular access grafts used for hemodialysis. The device, based on thermal anemometry, accurately detects changes in blood flow by measuring skin temperature variations caused by blood flow. In vivo studies in swine demonstrated the device’s ability to detect various flow conditions, including changes in blood flow due to vascular occlusions and reperfusion. This technology has the potential to improve the management of hemodialysis by enabling early detection of vascular access complications, leading to better patient outcomes.
